At Ezy Peazy, we can connect you to local experts who can take care of all types of wall and ceiling repairs and ensure your home or commercial space looks as good as new. From minor patch-ups to extensive repairs, an Ezy Peazy tasker will have the tools and expertise to get the job done efficiently and affordably.
No job is too big or small. Plus, a handyman you find on Ezy Peazy will be skilled in working on both residential and commercial properties. Here are the key services a wall and ceiling repair tasker can provide:
The first step in any wall or ceiling repair is a detailed assessment to determine the extent of the damage. This includes identifying the cause of cracks or holes and discovering if they are surface-level or a sign of deeper issues like settling or structural movement. A professional handyman you find on Ezy Peazy can pinpoint the root of the problem and make sure the necessary repairs are done to prevent recurring damage.
By conducting a thorough inspection, the tasker will make sure that minor and major issues are addressed effectively. For example, a small crack may just need patching, while larger cracks may need structural reinforcements to prevent future damage.
Proper surface preparation is crucial to ensure the repair materials adhere properly and deliver a flawless finish. Before fixing a crack or hole in drywall, the damaged area must be cleaned and smoothed out. Any old paint, dust, or debris is removed and, if there is water damage, the affected materials will be cleaned to prevent mould growth.
The tasker will then sand the affected area to create an even surface. A primer may be applied to make sure the repair blends in seamlessly with the rest of the wall or ceiling. This preparation step ensures long-lasting results and makes it easier to achieve a polished finish once the repair is complete.
Cracks in ceilings or walls can range from small hairline fractures to larger gaps that might need more substantial repairs. For minor cracks, a tasker may apply joint compound and smooth and sand it down to create a seamless surface. In the case of larger holes, the tasker might patch the area using a new plasterboard or drywall and reinforce the repair with joint tape and compound to ensure it’s stable.
In cases where large sections of plaster or drywall have deteriorated, the tasker may need to remove and replace the damaged material. This makes sure the repair is structurally sound and ready for a fresh coat of paint or finishing touches.
Once the repair is completed, the final step is to finish the surface to match the surrounding area. This can include sanding the repaired area to a smooth finish, applying textures to match the existing wall or ceiling, and priming the surface for painting. A tasker you find on Ezy Peazy will make sure that all finishing touches are handled with precision and that the repair blends seamlessly with the rest of the room.
Whether the job needs a smooth or textured finish, an Ezy Peazy tasker is skilled in a variety of techniques to match the original surface and ensure a professional result.
For repairs involving water damage, it’s crucial to first address the source of the problem, for example, a leaky roof or faulty plumbing. After fixing the leak, the tasker will remove any mould, apply a mould-resistant primer, and repair the damaged wall or ceiling. This process ensures that the area is restored aesthetically, and it’s also protected from future moisture-related issues.
Preventing mould is essential for maintaining indoor air quality and ensuring the longevity of the repaired area. Our taskers use materials and techniques that guard against moisture penetration in the future.
Once repairs are completed, preventive measures are often recommended to avoid future complications. This could include applying waterproof sealants in moisture-prone areas or improving ventilation in bathrooms or kitchens to reduce humidity. Regular maintenance and inspections are also suggested to catch potential problems before they become serious issues. This will save you time and money in the long run.

There is a square sized dent/hole in our wall. It isn’t a full gaping hole yet, but would be maybe if you needed to repair it. Pretty sure it needs some gib or plasterboard but might be something that you’ll need to assess
“Did a really good job on our wall and was really respectful.”
After gas disconnection a wall heater has been removed. A piece of gib is in place and the patch - approx 1 metre sq - needs to be plastered.
