Starting in May 2024, Ezy Peazy is piloting a new policy program to address repeat policy violations. Under this program, repeat offenders will face a series of penalties (strikes), with the third strike resulting in indefinite account suspension.
This document will be updated as we grow and continuously strive to determine what’s best for the Ezy Peazy community.
We are passionate about connecting people ready to work with those who need work done. As Ezy Peazy continues to grow, it is essential that our community adheres to guidelines that reflect our values and standards of behaviour. We work diligently to enforce these guidelines to maintain authenticity and transparency, ensuring everyone has an enjoyable experience.
As stated in our Terms and Conditions, please read these guidelines carefully. By using Terms and Conditions, Ezy Peazy reserves the right to revoke services and suspend accounts when necessary. To help ensure a safe and positive experience for users, we require all members to comply with our policies. We take repeat policy violations seriously and take appropriate action against non-compliant accounts.
We employ a combination of automated and human evaluations to detect and remove accounts that violate our policies and harm the Ezy Peazy ecosystem. Our enforcement technologies utilise algorithms and machine learning, modelled on human reviewers’ decisions, to protect our users and keep our job platforms safe. Policy-violating content or accounts may be removed by our automated models, or flagged for further review by trained operators and analysts when a more nuanced determination is needed. These manual reviews help build training data to further enhance our machine-learning models.
We take action on accounts that violate our policies, which may include suspending accounts for repeat or egregious violations. We have implemented a strike system to manage repeat offenders. Strikes are issued to your Ezy Peazy account when you repeatedly violate certain policies. No strikes are issued for the first policy violation. You can receive a maximum of three strikes, with progressively increasing penalties for each strike. Temporary account holds will be applied for the first and second strikes (three and seven days, respectively), while the third strike will result in an indefinite account suspension.
How to Stay Safe from Strikes
Do Not Share Contact Details: Avoid sharing your contact details in comments or offers.
Keep Tasks on the Platform: Do not take tasks off the platform.
Quote Fairly: Do not underquote on jobs.
Commit to Jobs: Do not cancel jobs unnecessarily.
What to Do If You Get a Strike
If your account is placed on a temporary hold or suspended, it is due to the accumulation of strikes for policy violations.
If you believe there has been an error and you have not violated our policy, please submit an appeal explaining why. We only reinstate accounts under compelling circumstances, so it’s important to be thorough, accurate, and honest in your appeal.
