Hung Painting in Stairwell on Gib and Plaster in Sumner

Summary

The customer needed a light-framed painting hung high in a stairwell on gib and plaster in Sumner, Christchurch. They highlighted that the main challenges were the high wall location and that the mounting point would be over the stairs, and that no photo of the back was available to show the mounting points. The poster received 2 offers and accepted a selected offer of $150. The tasker confirmed the required mounting method — a hook and string — then worked safely at height over the stairs to find a secure fixing in the plaster and gib before fastening the frame. The job progressed from an initial question about mounting points to a straightforward installation, and the painting was successfully hung in the specified position. The poster recorded a tasker rating of 4, and the outcome matched the agreed requirements.
