I need help repairing a broken support rail on my queen-sized wooden bed base. The rail that holds the slats has split and is no longer supporting the slats properly. I still have the broken piece, but it may need replacing or reinforcing.
The support rail measures approximately 190 cm (length) x 3 cm (width) x 3 cm (height).
Ideally, I’d like someone who can:
• Assess the damage and recommend the best fix
• Supply and install a new rail (if needed)
• Ensure the slats are properly supported and the bed is stable
The bed is partially disassembled and accessible. I’m based in Henderson, Auckland, and am flexible with timing—sooner is better, but I can work around your schedule.
