Move a smoke detector

Our smoke detector  needs its battery to be changed (beeping intermittently). Its in an awkward location(top of the stairs on the ceiling. I cannot access it as I am disabled and dont have a ladder. The job would be to replace the battery and relocatethe detector to theupstairs hallway.  You will require your own ladder to relocate the detector. Thanks!
