Removed Fallen TV Aerial from Single-Storey Roof in Hillmorton

Summary

The Customer needed a fallen TV aerial removed from a lower-pitch single-storey roof after high winds in Hillmorton, Christchurch. Access and safety were key requirements: the roofer needed ladder access to the lower pitch, had to cut the aerial wire, remove the aerial and ensure the roof remained watertight. Working at height and confirming watertight integrity were flagged as the main challenges, so spare roofing screws and exterior silicone were brought to hand. The job progressed quickly — it was assigned on 25 October 2023 and completed on 26 October 2023. The task received 2 offers, and the selected offer was $100. On the roof, the roofer cut and removed the aerial, checked and tightened roofing screws, made all penetrations watertight with silicone and disposed of the aerial. The Customer left a 5‑star review praising the standard of work and recommending the roofer.
