Summary
The job in Onehunga, Auckland required an experienced gardener to trim jasmine and ficus on garden walls, trim a small hedge, weed behind it and remove all green waste. The customer specified that the worker bring their own tools and a ladder, and a time and date were agreed before work began. Four offers were received and the selected offer was $200. After an initial clarification about the scope, the job progressed to on-site trimming and weeding. Communication proved challenging—the customer described the worker’s phone manner as aggressive and felt more clarity was needed before starting—but after raising those concerns the worker returned and completed the tasks, removing the green waste. The job was rated 4 out of 5 with a mixed review noting the work was finished fairly well despite the communication issues.

Pierre was great to communicate with. Jordan did the work. Jordan could improve clarifying the work to be done before beginning. He had an aggressive way of communicating, I was surprised how combative and rude to me he was on the phone. I was reasonable, yet assertive, choosing my battles to keep him focused on the task. I contacted Pierre, and ultimately once Jordan went back he got the job done fairly well.
