Clear plants and replace with pebbles

I have two small areas, one at the front and one at the back, that I want to tidy up by removing all the plants. I plan to replace them with weed mat and then top them with pebbles and tiles. I have photos showing the existing pebbles and tiles, and I’d like to create the same look throughout both areas.
