Gas burner (haier) ignites but flame extinguishes

I need assistance with repairing one of the gas burners on my Haier hob. Specifically, the largest burner is malfunctioning. When I press the knob, the gas ignites, but the flame immediately extinguishes once the knob is released. The burner is not maintaining a constant flame.
