Fixing a Hoover 7kg front‑load washer leaking during the wash cycle

Summary

The customer in Eden Terrace, Auckland contacted us because their Hoover 7kg front‑load washing machine was leaking from the base during the wash cycle but not on Drain & Spin. They’d already checked the gray rubber door seal and heard no unusual noises; the machine is about five years old and was bought from Neon Leeming. After one offer was received and a $130 offer accepted, the technician advised not to use the machine and arranged a site visit to diagnose the fault. Inspection and testing focused on the water inlet, detergent dispenser hose and internal hoses underneath the drum. The likely source was identified and minor repairs were completed, with any needed parts discussed before fitting. The job concluded with a 5‑star rating from the customer.
