Home alarm power and battery check

Summary

A homeowner in Blockhouse Bay, Auckland reported their home alarm had stopped working about two months earlier and asked for someone to diagnose the fault. The brief was to check for a power failure and test the alarm battery, with any replacement quoted separately. One offer was received and the customer accepted the $100 offer to attend and perform the tests. The tasker asked whether the alarm had previously worked, arranged a 3pm visit and carried out the agreed checks of the power feed and battery. The agreed scope was completed and the customer left a five-star rating. The outcome included a clear recommendation on next steps if a battery replacement or further repairs are needed.
