Visit a Bunnings & Mitre 10 Mega store on the Gold Coast. Go to the Service/ Key Cutting Desk. Get at least 2 photos of all the key blanks on the wall behind the desk & find out the price to cut a regular household key. Get at least one for the left half & one for the right half, see examples attached. I must be able to read the name of all they key blanks. So the photo needs to be fairly close. You will not be able to get close enough yourself from the other side of the counter. Check the photo before you walk away from the desk, so they can do it again if you cannot read the name. You can either: 1. Give the staff one of your household keys & ask to have one cut for you. Then ask the staff person if they can take photos of all they key blanks they have. Give the person your phone. Tell them you have lots of keys at home you are trying to sort out & knowing all the types of blanks will help you do this. They may tell you knowing the blanks may not help, simply bring the keys in. You can reply there are lots of keys and this will help knowing which Bunnings can cut and which they cannot. Or, 2. Tell them you are a studying business management & doing a case study on key cutting & want to know the types of keys available. You assignment is on pricing, managing stock levels, etc.
